Privacy Policy

Website, Reservations and Transportation Services  ·

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. This Privacy Policy explains how O'Hare Taxi Chicago LLC collects, uses, discloses, and protects Personal Information when you visit our website, contact us, make or receive a reservation, or use our transportation services.

1. Scope and Who We Are

This Privacy Policy applies to O'Hare Taxi Chicago LLC ("O'Hare Taxi Chicago," "we," "us," or "our") and to Personal Information collected through oharetaxichicago.com, our online booking pages, quote and contact forms, telephone calls, email, SMS or text messages, WhatsApp, social-media communications, transportation services, and related customer support (collectively, the "Services").

"Personal Information" means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or can reasonably be linked to an individual. It does not include aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify an individual.

This Policy does not replace the privacy notices of third-party platforms that process information under their own policies. It should be read together with our Terms of Use, available at https://oharetaxichicago.com/terms-of-use/.

If you book transportation for another passenger, you are responsible for providing that person with this Policy and for having appropriate authority to give us the passenger's information.

2. Personal Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following categories of information:

Contact and identity information

Name, telephone number, email address, billing or mailing address, company name, and the identity of the person making or paying for a reservation.

Reservation and trip information

Pickup and drop-off locations; date and time; airline, flight number, airport, and terminal; passenger count; luggage information; selected vehicle; requested stops; and reservation status.

Service preferences and accommodation information

Child-seat type, accessibility or mobility needs, service-animal information, and other instructions reasonably necessary to arrange a suitable ride. Please do not provide medical or other sensitive details that are not necessary for the requested service.

Payment and transaction information

Fare, gratuity, fees, payment status, refunds, chargebacks, receipts, billing information, and payment-card information processed through our authorized booking and payment providers. We may receive limited payment details, such as card brand, expiration information, or the last four digits, but we do not intentionally store full card numbers outside an authorized payment platform.

Communications and customer-service information

Messages, emails, call notes, booking requests, driver communications, complaints, lost-item reports, feedback, reviews, and other information you choose to provide.

Device and website-use information

Internet Protocol address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, date and time, approximate location derived from an IP address, cookie or advertising identifiers, and interactions with our website and advertisements.

Source and attribution information

Referral source, campaign and advertisement data, and parameters such as UTM source, medium, and campaign that help us understand how a visitor found our website or booking page.

3. How We Collect Information

We may collect Personal Information:

  • directly from you when you visit the website, request a quote, reserve or pay for a ride, contact us, communicate with a driver, or use the Services;
  • automatically through cookies, tags, pixels, server logs, analytics, advertising, and similar technologies;
  • from a person or organization arranging transportation for you, including a family member, employer, hotel, travel coordinator, transportation affiliate, or other authorized booking party;
  • from Moovs, payment processors, communication providers, drivers, independent transportation providers, advertising and analytics providers, mapping services, and social-media platforms; and
  • from public or commercially available sources used to support a trip, such as airline or airport flight-status information.

4. How We Use Personal Information

We may use Personal Information to:

  • provide quotes; create, confirm, modify, dispatch, complete, and document reservations and transportation services;
  • assign and coordinate drivers, vehicles, affiliates, pickup instructions, passenger needs, luggage, child seats, accessibility requests, and flight monitoring;
  • communicate confirmations, driver details, arrival instructions, schedule changes, receipts, customer-support responses, and other service-related information;
  • process payments, gratuities, refunds, credits, disputes, chargebacks, fees, and accounting or tax records;
  • respond to questions, complaints, feedback, lost-item inquiries, safety concerns, and service-recovery requests;
  • detect and prevent fraud, misuse, unsafe conduct, security incidents, and violations of our Terms of Use;
  • operate, maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the website, booking process, customer experience, and transportation operations;
  • measure website traffic, advertising performance, calls, leads, and reservations, and understand how customers find and use our Services;
  • send marketing communications when permitted by law and consistent with your choices; and
  • comply with legal, regulatory, insurance, recordkeeping, and law-enforcement requirements and protect the rights, safety, and property of customers, drivers, the public, and O'Hare Taxi Chicago.

5. Reservations, Moovs, and Payment Processing

We use Moovs to support online reservations, customer and trip records, dispatch, communications, invoicing, and payment processing. Information submitted through a Moovs booking page is transmitted to and processed through Moovs and its authorized providers. In this relationship, O'Hare Taxi Chicago determines the business purposes for which customer and trip information is used, and Moovs processes that information to provide its platform and related services.

Payment information may be collected and processed by Moovs, Moovs Payments, and/or an integrated payment processor. Those providers may retain transaction and payment data under their own agreements, legal obligations, and privacy practices. Do not send full payment-card numbers or security codes through ordinary email, SMS, or WhatsApp unless we provide a specifically authorized secure method.

Moovs maintains a separate Privacy Policy at https://www.moovsapp.com/policy. Its policy applies to Moovs' own processing activities and should be reviewed when you use a Moovs-hosted booking or payment page.

6. When We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose Personal Information to the following recipients for the purposes described in this Policy:

Drivers and transportation providers

Employees, independent drivers, affiliates, and qualified third-party transportation companies may receive the contact, trip, passenger, and payment-status information reasonably necessary to fulfill a reservation. They may contact you directly about the trip and are not authorized by us to use that information for unrelated marketing.

Service providers

Booking, dispatch, payment, website hosting, analytics, advertising, mapping, email, telephone, SMS, WhatsApp or messaging, customer-support, accounting, insurance, security, and technology providers may process information on our behalf or as needed to provide their services.

Authorized booking parties

If an employer, hotel, travel coordinator, family member, affiliate, or other organization arranges or pays for a ride, we may provide that authorized party with reservation status, trip details, charges, and receipts.

Legal, safety, and fraud-prevention recipients

We may disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with law, legal process, insurance requirements, or a lawful government request; investigate fraud or an incident; enforce an agreement; collect an amount due; or protect rights, property, health, or safety.

Business transactions and consent

Information may be disclosed in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards, or for another purpose disclosed to you with your direction or consent.

7. No Sale of Personal Information

O'Hare Taxi Chicago does not sell Personal Information for money. We also do not sell or share mobile opt-in information or SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. This restriction does not prevent us from using service providers to deliver requested communications or from giving a driver or transportation provider the information needed to complete a reservation.

We use analytics and advertising technologies as described below. Some privacy laws may define disclosures of online identifiers for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising as a "sale" or "sharing," even when no money is exchanged. Where such a law applies to us, we will honor legally required opt-out rights.

8. Calls, Email, SMS, and WhatsApp

When you provide contact information or make a reservation, we may use telephone calls, email, SMS, or WhatsApp for service-related communications, including quotes, confirmations, payment requests, driver information, pickup instructions, flight or schedule updates, receipts, and customer support. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies with your reservations and interactions.

Consent to receive marketing messages is not a condition of purchasing transportation. When separate consent is required for automated or marketing communications, we will request it. You may opt out of non-essential SMS messages by replying STOP. You may also contact us at contact@oharetaxichicago.com. If you opt out of automated SMS, we may use another reasonable method to communicate information necessary for an active reservation that you requested. A one-time confirmation of an opt-out request may be sent where permitted.

Communications made through WhatsApp or another third-party messaging service are also subject to that provider's privacy practices. Do not use ordinary messaging channels to send information that is not reasonably necessary for your reservation.

9. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

Our website may use cookies, tags, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, understand traffic and performance, measure calls or reservations, detect problems, and evaluate advertising. Some technologies are placed by third parties and may recognize a browser or device across visits.

We use Google Tag Manager to manage website tags, Google Analytics to measure website activity and usage, and Google Ads technologies to measure whether advertisements result in visits, calls, or reservations. Google and its authorized providers may collect or receive device, browser, IP-address, cookie, advertising-identifier, interaction, and conversion information and process it under Google's terms and privacy policies. We do not send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, or other information that directly identifies a person to Google Analytics.

Information about how Google processes data from sites and apps that use its services is available at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can manage Google advertising choices at https://adssettings.google.com and install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Blocking cookies may affect website or booking functionality. Because there is not yet a uniform industry standard for browser "Do Not Track" signals, our website may not respond to every such signal. Where applicable law requires recognition of a legally valid universal opt-out signal, we will process it as required.

10. Data Retention

We retain Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services and for the purposes described in this Policy. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information, the reservation or customer relationship, platform settings, payment and chargeback periods, accounting and tax requirements, insurance and legal obligations, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and safety needs.

When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete it, de-identify it, or retain it in a manner permitted by law. Third-party providers maintain their own retention practices, which may differ from ours.

11. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we maintain and seek to limit access to people and providers who need it for legitimate business purposes. We also rely on security measures maintained by Moovs, payment processors, hosting providers, communication platforms, and other service providers.

No transmission method, website, storage system, or security measure is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security. You should use secure methods when submitting payment or other sensitive information and notify us promptly if you believe information relating to a reservation has been misused.

12. Your Privacy Choices and Requests

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain Personal Information; to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; or to opt out of certain marketing, targeted advertising, sale, or sharing activities.

To make a request, email contact@oharetaxichicago.com with the subject "Privacy Request" and describe the request and the information or reservation involved. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity and authority before acting. We may deny or limit a request when permitted or required by law, including when information must be retained for payment, tax, insurance, safety, fraud-prevention, legal, or dispute-resolution purposes or to protect another person's privacy. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a right provided by applicable law.

You may unsubscribe from marketing email by using the unsubscribe method in the message, when available, and may opt out of non-essential SMS as described in Section 8. Service communications needed for an existing reservation may still be sent by an appropriate channel.

13. Children's Privacy

Our website and booking Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information directly from a child under 13 without legally sufficient authorization. A parent, guardian, or authorized adult may provide limited information about a child passenger, such as age or child-seat requirements, when reasonably necessary to arrange transportation. That information is used to provide the requested service and is not used for child-directed marketing.

If you believe a child under 13 submitted Personal Information directly to us without appropriate authorization, contact us so that we can review and, where required, delete it.

14. Third-Party Websites and Services

Our website and communications may link to or use third-party services such as Moovs, payment processors, Google, mapping or flight-information services, review platforms, social networks, WhatsApp, or other websites. Those parties control their own services and privacy practices. We encourage you to review their privacy notices. O'Hare Taxi Chicago is not responsible for the independent privacy or security practices of a third party.

15. Visitors Outside the United States

O'Hare Taxi Chicago is based in Illinois, United States, and the Services are directed primarily to transportation in Chicago, its airports, and surrounding areas. If you access the Services from another country, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or another country where our providers operate. Those locations may have privacy laws that differ from the laws where you live. Where applicable law requires additional safeguards or rights, we will apply them as required.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our Services, technology, providers, or legal requirements. We will post the revised Policy on our website and change the "Last Updated" date. If a change materially affects how we use previously collected Personal Information, we will provide any additional notice or choice required by applicable law.
